You probably thought I made warm oatmeal for Michael, right? Nope, I made it for my chickens. We went to IHop for pancakes.
Nothing new here, just rain, rain, and more rain. I am cautiously watching the creek behind the house. It is up to the top and spilling over in one area. Our house is up an embankment, but the goat house and chicken coop are on the same level as the creek. The boys can climb up on their benches if the water comes in and the girls have their roosts up high so things should be fine. I worry about them anyway. That’s just me.

No sheep for us here Cindy. We are zoned for farm animals up to 75 pounds. That’s probably a good thing!

I THINK I read somewhere this past week (I’ve been doing ALOT of chicken raising reading) that oatmeal is a very good thing for chickens, isn’t it? I wish there was a thing that could take from your head and put in the computer to organize thoughts!!! I have never had chickens in my life and it just seems like a lot of information for such small, innocent animals! LOL!!
Hope your rain stops, Mary, for the animal’s sake! But then that would be a new adventure for the goats to figure out what mischief they could actually do!!! I live at the top of an embankment also, with very good drainage around here. I’m never worried about flooding and I say keep the water coming, it’ll run out in the middle of the summer!
So are sheep on your list of next things to get? Suzanne’s look just adorable and fluffy and warm!!
Have a great day, Mary & Michael ~~ Cindy
