Don’t chase Mama’s chickens.

March 13, 2012

The little emu girls, Chica and Loca, have taken to chasing the chickens. As long as the chickens are standing still, the girls are good. But if a chicken runs, they have to chase it. It’s an emu thing. The boys used to chase them a lot but they don’t do it very much anymore. I am not concerned about the adult chickens. They are pretty good at staying out of the way. I am worried about what will happen when my broody Mama comes out with her babies. I guess I’ll just have to wait and see what happens. But for now, they chase my chickens and I scold them. I like to think they listen.

Yep, those baby emus don’t stay babies for very long. They are little whistling whirling dervishes. You’ll know all about that soon. 🙂

Yeah, I think they are listening to you. I so love your videos! Those emu girls are growing so fast!
