Susan is my best friend of over forty years. We did just about everything together until she moved to Nevada five years ago. Now we don’t see each other as often as we would like, but we do burn up the phone lines. On Sunday she and husband Wayne stopped by on their way back home from a family visit. We had so much fun!
Susan gathered a half dozen eggs and took home two dozen farm fresh eggs.
We chased chickens around the yard till we caught one.
Susan holding her first chicken! She doesn’t know yet that it is highly addictive. She’s gonna want some!
This is Wayne. He did not hold any chickens.
I guess he’s more of a goat guy. Probably because you can sit in a chair and they will just come to you. No chasing required.
Wayne will bail out of a moving vehicle at the sight of a garage sale but he won’t chase a chicken. Go figure.
We pulled the last of the winter vegetables from the garden. Look at what Susan found…
Put some pants on that carrot Susan!
And, yes Susan, Michael went swimming. Here’s proof.

How fun to have a visit! I’m glad the phone lines are burning, it’s hard when your BFF isn’t as close in miles anymore, just don’t lose contact, that hurts even more. It seems that what you don’t see, sometimes moves down in the priority list, then one day all you can think of is that person and don’t know how to contact them. I’m on a hunt right now for my BFF from many years ago…..we’ve been in and out of contact with each other over the years and haven’t been in contact for about 4 years now and the hunt begins again!
