Mark Twain once said “The first of April is the day we remember what we are the other 364 days of the year.” Well, technically today is the second day of April but I am taking artistic liberty with the facts. I got my Canon Rebel XT camera back from the shop this morning and captured proof that Mark Twain knew what he was talking about.
These are wildflowers that miraculously grew from wildflower seeds Michael scattered last Fall.
When we left last week for our trip we had blossoms on all our little fruit trees planted last summer. Today we have fruit on the trees!
Here is an apricot, one of many on the tree.
These are peaches.
These are tiny nectarines.
These are pears.
Mandy’s pansies are still blooming and the citrus trees are full of blossoms, ready to open any day. Nothing smells as good as orange blossoms.
Emily Dickinson said “A little madness in the Spring, is wholesome even for the king.” We had our share of madness here today too.
Dancing goats.
Big chickens in big holes.
Little chickens in little holes.
More dancing goats.
A mad chicken.
A silly goat.
A giant egg.
On top of all that, it was hoof trimming day.
“Is that a raisin?”
“So degrading.”
Ahhhhhh, the joys of Spring.

That "hay tote" cost $150.00 and they better stay off of it. We had to move it before the trip. It was next to the goat shed and Banning climbed up on it, then onto the shed’s roof, from which he immediately fell to the ground. If you build it, buy it, grow it, or just drag it into the goat yard, they will climb it!

Amazing how fast everything grows……wait, wait, wait, then it’s just there!! Those were amazing photos btw! I really like that wildflower, very pretty! Make that one into a notecard!
Hahahahahaha, they’re using the hay tote to get to the tree easier!! Smart goats!!
