I bought a new camera two weeks ago. I have lusted over the Canon 5D Mark III for quite some time and finally decided to buy one. I am still getting used to it, but having a lot of fun. This week Michael even laid on the grass to get down to chicken-level to take some free range pics. He has mostly left the picture-taking to me but that may change now that we have the new camera. That’s a good thing because I have no problem getting down to chicken-level, the problem is getting back up.
This week we took so many pictures that I had trouble picking my favorites. So I am not even going to try!

I love your farm pictures! So cute Tucker looked like he was going to give the chicken a run for his money! So cute!

Beautiful pictures! My kids loved looking through these with me. They wish we had enough room for animals… maybe someday! Thanks for sharing at Savoring Saturdays!

Hi Mary – I’ve been “lurking” reading your blog and on the BYC forums. I’ve had chickens in my life as far back as I can remember (looong time – I’m older than you!). I began to read stuff on BYC a few months ago – hadn’t visited the site in years and was amazed at the activity. I thought I wanted Cream Legbars and was working my way through all the posts and came upon you and your wonderful writing style and fantastic photos. I’ve decided against CL’s but so glad I found you! Now I’m hooked on Stella’s Social Club too! Your new camera is amazing and the daily doings at the Egg Farm are delightful. I get my best laughs of the day reading your stories! 🙂
