Did you hear anything about a lunar eclipse? I did, and in preparation I set up my time-lapse camera to capture the entire thing while I slept. Michael and I watched the first phase, he took some still shots, then we headed off for bed at about this point.
I fell asleep quickly, dreaming of the blood-red moon outside my window. I just knew the time-lapse footage would be spectacular. I jumped out of bed early, hurried outside and grabbed the camera. I downloaded the footage only to find that I hadn’t aimed it properly and I missed the entire thing!
I fretted about it all day, knowing I would have to wait until October for another chance at a time-lapse capture of a lunar eclipse. I decided not to wait that long. With a little help from Vimeo, I turned my missed eclipse footage into the one in my dreams. October is likely to disappoint after this.
