As promised, here are pictures of the pigpen we bought to house Prentiss and Petunia until Stuart and Louis stop chasing them to death. As you can see, they have all the comforts of home, protection from the elements, a dogloo to sleep in, a big water bowl and a food bowl. Huge mistake placing the dogloo by the food and water. They go insane when they get fed and squeeze themselves behind the dogloo requiring a lot of pushing and squealing to get out. Tomorrow I shall climb into the pigpen and drag the dogloo to the farthest most corner of the pigpen away from the food bowl. I expect there will be three of us grunting and squealing tomorrow. As you can see, the pigs have an occasional guest, mostly gawkers.
They are still a bit shy, choosing to stay in the dogloo while the Icelandic chickens threw them a housewarming party.
I’ll be happy when they can come out of the pigpen and become part of the fun loving, free ranging characters of the Buck ‘n Run Ranch. I have to draw the line between freedom and safety and for now, safety rules. Sorry Petunia!
