Donkey Do’s and Don’ts

September 25, 2011

Do  feed your donkey.

Don’t  feed your donkey while wearing flip flops and carrying a riding crop. If he is the least bit skittish and the crop accidentally touches his nose as you pour oats into his bucket, he will freak out and run, his first step landing on the outside of your ankle while his body slams yours into the corral pipes. Don’t ask me how I know.

Do keep broken shovel handles lying around the donkey enclosure as they make great crutches to get you back to the house.

Do give your donkey extra love. He knows he hurt you and he feels bad. I will be posting more donkey do’s and don’t as I figure them out myself.

OMGosh, Mary! I do hope you have been resting that. It looks awfully painful. Poor Jack. I am sure he feels just terrible about the accident.
