Baby Canada Goslings! (VIDEO)

April 29, 2012

We have a pair of Canada geese who decided to hatch and raise their baby goslings here at the Buck ‘n Run! They brought the babies out a couple of days ago from wherever the nest is. I suspect it is under our deck. It has taken me a couple of days to finally get the video uploaded no thanks to satellite internet. Here is the first installment of our baby gosling saga. Please enjoy and hang in till the end when they all settle in under mama’s wings.

Enjoyed the CA geese video. Just found your blog while researching Icelandic chickens. Maybe you can point me to a good breeder in the NE when we get moved to Maine, this summer or fall. That won’t be the time to find chicks I suppose and I know there are few breeders of Icelandics. I saw your thread on BYC and wish you luck with your clean line. I understand the ‘feather issue’ is to be avoided for the conservation of the breed, but I wish I knew what it looks like…

Keep checking back Leecia. I am planning a post about the feathering issue with pictures. Good luck on your move. Maybe by the time you get settled and ready I will have my line reestablished with the feathering gene gone. Thanks for visiting.
