Laverne and Shirley, our fainting goats, are lazy goats. They spend all day like this.
Or like this.
They might lift their heads from time to time.
Sometimes they watch The Nature Channel, lying down.
Occasionally they get up to eat.
Or to get their head stuck in a fence.
But mostly it’s like this. Sprawled out like Beluga whales.
They used to run and head butt but we haven’t seen much of that lately. But last night, well after dark, from my bedroom upstairs I saw white flashes of movement in the goat yard. I grabbed my camera to get a zoomed-in look, assuming it was a pack of coyotes. Now they run.
In the darkness I could barely make it out. Wait a minute. Do coyotes head butt each other off of picnic tables in the dark? Never heard of it. Upon closer examination of the tape in Final Cut Pro, with the footage lightened, I saw them! Laverne and Shirley were running. And head butting each other off the picnic table. It wasn’t a pack of cavorting coyotes, just too silly fainting goats. This whole time I thought they were malingering and now I find out they are just sneaky! Here’s the evidence that they still run and play.
