Diana put the buck in the Buck ‘N Run!

 

Diana is a diva. She was not just arbitrarily assigned the title. She earned  it. Here are her rules which Jack must obey.

1.) She always eats first.

2.) If he prepares a spot to roll in the dirt, she gets to go first.

3.) She always gets to go through the gate first.

4.) If Jack is getting attention and she isn’t, he must move and let her in.

5.) If he gets one carrot she gets two.

6.) If she decides she wants what he is eating, he must give it up.

This is by no means the complete list. I stopped here because Jack failed to comply with rule #6 this morning and suffered the consequences. Jack came up the berm to the edge of the pond and found a big juicy mouthful of grass to eat. Diana saw him eating it and ran up the hill so that he could give it to her. When Jack saw what was happening he hastily finished eating the grass, leaving nothing for Diana. She looked on in disbelief then kicked him in the shin and ran back down the berm. Apparently Jack felt that getting kicked in the shin before 7:00 a.m. was out of line, so he ran down the berm and chased her all over the pasture until she couldn’t run any more. As I am most morning, I was there with my video camera. Unfortunately, as Jack made the move to go after her, my memory card was full! But I got the kick and here it is, all 7 seconds worth, for your enjoyment.

That’s our diva! If she only knew what he could do to her if he really got mad, she might try a little more sugar and a little less vinegar! Lucky for her he is madly in love with her.
