The Russians are crowing! Well, one of them anyway.
My first Pavlovskaja started crowing on Monday at only five and a half weeks old! I have tried to get him to do it on video but when he sees me with the camera he stops crowing. Today he decided to take part in a crow-off with my Icelandic rooster, Isi. By the time I got out to the brooder with my camera he only had one crow left in him. What do you think of this crow?
UPDATE: Yesterday as I was editing video for the first movie in this post I saw 45 minutes of something alarming. It appeared as if one of my baby Pavlovskajas had a serious disease. I didn’t know what to think but worried all night about it. What if it is contagious and I have to put down all my babies? I barely slept then hurried out early to check the brooders. Suddenly it all made sense!
