Final food photography class.

June 23, 2013

I was given free access to a two week online food photography class and I just turned in the last assignment. I am not very pleased with my results but I was rushed for time becuase of this being a very busy weekend. Anyway we had to take a low key lighting shot and a high key lighting shot of the same food and I chose this bowl of oatmeal as my subject.

assignment2

We had to do an object with a continuous white background. I did a quick still life of grapes and strawberries.

assignment3

Lastly we had to do a splash shot. I enlisted Michael’s help to drop an ice cube into a glass of sparkling water. We both saw a beautiful big splash on the screen but when I went to look for it, that image was gone. This was the only image I had with any splash at all. I submitted it anyway.

assignment4So for now I am done with classes. I will continue working on my own and I know I can only get better. It was fun but I am glad the pressure of assignment deadlines is over.
